Why do tier lists disagree so much?

They measure different things. Some rate an adventurer as your main and as a support separately, and sites use different tier labels and update on different days. A list written before launch could only go on test versions and published mechanics.

How is the consensus worked out?

Each site's top label counts as S and each label below it counts one tier lower, down to D. The consensus is the middle value across sites. It needs at least 2 sites. A gap of 2 tiers or more is marked disputed. This is a summary of opinions, not a damage test.

Which version of the game does this cover?

The ratings come from guide sites published in English, and some of those sites draw on Japanese guides. We do not test them in the game. When we last checked them on Nov 1, 2026, the US App Store listed version 1.0.9. Level Infinite and Garena run separate clients, and we have not confirmed that their balance matches.

Is this an official Monster Hunter site?
